VOV.VN - A total of three people died and three others were left injured in a traffic collision on August 7 in the Central Highlands Province of Dak Lak.
According to initial information, a tractor carrying a trailer was heading to Dak Lak province from Gia Lai province.
When travelling on the western bypass section on the Ho Chi Minh Expressway of Buon Ho Town passing through Cu Mgar District at 20:15 p.m., the tractor broke down and was to stop in the road.
Five minutes later, a truck licensed 81C-239.11 which was travelling behind the tractor then suffered a crash with another truck, plated 60H-047.00. The two vehicles then continued to crash into the parked tractor.
As a result of the collision, the driver of the second vehicle died at the scene. Five others were seriously injured and then taken to hospital for emergency treatment. However, two of the five victims passed away on the way to the hospital due to critical injuries.
Immediately after the accident happened, local police rushed to the scene to conduct rescue operations and regulate traffic.
The cause of the accident is currently under further investigation.
