VOV.VN - Two Vietnamese universities feature among the Quacquarelli Symonds World University Rankings 2022.
The Vietnam National University in Ho Chi Minh City and its sister institution in Hanoi have entered the 801 to 1000 band of the 2022 rankings as compiled by Quacquarelli Symonds, a British firm specialising in overseas education, which released the list on June 9.
Last year saw both universities make the top 801 to 1000 band in the global ranking.
This year also witnessed the Hanoi University of Science and Technology make the list of the leading 1201+ institutions, while the Ho Chi Minh City-based Ton Duc Thang University was ranked among the 1001 to 1200 list.
The Massachusetts Institute of Technology, more commonly known globally as MIT, topped the 2021 QS University World Rankings, followed by Stanford and Harvard, all of which are located in the United States.
Criteria for evaluation are academic reputation, employer reputation, faculty to student ratio, citations per faculty, international faculty ratio, and international student ratio.
More subjects of Vietnamese universities have been added into the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) ranking 2021.
Ho Chi Minh City-based Nguyen Tat Thanh University has been rated as a four-star educational institution by the UK rating system, QS Stars.
The Vietnam National University - Hanoi on February 28 announced that its three training branches have been named in the world top 500-600 by education organisation Quacquarelli Symonds (QS).
