
VOV.VN - The Vietnam Water Supply and Sewerage Association (VWSA) and the government of Indonesia’s South Sumatra province have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on local clean water management.
The document was signed in Palembang city, South Sumatra, on June 22 by Acting Governor of South Sumatra Agus Fatoni and VWSA Chairman Nguyen Ngoc Diep.
During a working session ahead of the signing of the MoU, the two sides examined the potential for bilateral cooperation on water as well as drinking water management, with a primary focus on expanding cooperation into the fields of human resources training and technology transfer, among others.
Diep said both Vietnam and Indonesia maintain a harmonious, good and increasingly connected relationship in many fields. The two countries are carrying out practical investment cooperation programmes, in which they can further increase investment cooperation in exploiting the water industry.
Vietnam vows to support Indonesia in strengthening water resource management and providing clean water to its people, said the VWSA chairman.

Chairman of the People’s Committee of Khanh Hoa province Nguyen Tan Tuan on March 21 said the south-central locality wants to cooperate with Indonesian localities, ministries and agencies in the areas of their strengths.
