Representing Vietnam, Dr. Tran Chi Thanh, President of the Vietnam Atomic Energy Institute, emphasised that scientific and technical cooperation with Russian research institutes, enterprises, and universities provides an important foundation for maintaining high professional training standards and ensuring continuity across generations of nuclear scientists and engineers.

He noted that every summer, Vietnamese students have the opportunity to intern at nuclear power plants in Russia, thereby strengthening their expertise through hands-on experience in advanced technological environments.

During the discussion, delegates agreed that building a highly skilled workforce is a key factor for the future of the nuclear industry. Tatyana Terentyeva, Deputy Director General for Human Resources at the Russian State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom, said the corporation has created an innovative ecosystem that seamlessly connects education with practical experience at Rosatom enterprises.

Over the past 15 years, Rosatom has become a leader in training nuclear specialists and is ready to share best practices with international partners.

Vladimir Shevchenko, Rector of the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI, stressed the need to further strengthen integration between universities and the industry, as well as to expand international cooperation, to meet the challenges of modern nuclear development.

The panel also highlighted the special role of young people in advancing the nuclear industry, underscoring that student activities are an important tool to encourage careers in the field and attract new talent to this highly specialized industry.
