VOV launches contest on Vietnam-Philippines relations

VOV.VN - National broadcaster Voice of Vietnam (VOV), in coordination with the Embassy of the Philippines in Vietnam, has launched an online contest on Vietnam-Philippines relations to mark the 50th anniversary of both countries’ diplomatic ties between (July 12, 1976 - July 12, 2026).

The contest aims to strengthen understanding of the Vietnam-Philippines Strategic Partnership while promoting solidarity and friendship between the people of the two countries.

Eligible participants are Vietnamese and Philippine citizens who are proficient in Vietnamese, legally residing anywhere in the world, and interested in friendship between the two nations.

The contest will run from July 1 to July 20, 2026, and consists of a quiz section and an essay section. For the essay section, entries may be submitted in various formats, including written articles, audio, video or TikTok content.

Organisers said all entries must be original works that have not been used or previously published in any media outlets, publications, websites or social media platforms.

The contest offers three main prizes sponsored by the Embassy of the Philippines in Vietnam. The first prize includes round-trip airfare to the Philippines along with accommodation packages in Manila and Cebu. Results are expected to be announced within two weeks after the contest closes.

Participants can register for the quiz section through VOV’s online quiz platform, while essay submissions can be sent to the organizing board via email at icd.vov@gmail.com.
