Coach Kim Sang-sik calls up players for FIFA Days matches in September

Among the players are familiar names including Nguyen Filip, Dang Van Lam, Bui Hoang Viet Anh, Nguyen Quang Hai, Nguyen Hoang Duc, Do Hung Dung, Nguyen Tuan Anh, Nguyen Tuan Hai, Nguyen Van Toan and Nguyen Tien Linh.

Moreover, defenders Que Ngoc Hai, Nguyen Thanh Chung, and midfielder Nguyen Hai Long will mark their return after a long period of absence.

This time, the Korean coach did not call up several outstanding young players, including Khuat Van Khang, Nguyen Thai Son, Tran Van Son, and Nguyen Dinh Bac, who are preparing for a friendly international tournament taking place in China at the same time.

As scheduled, the Vietnamese national will gather for training on August 30 to prepare for the LPBank Cup 2024’s opening match against Russia on September 5 and another match against Thailand on September 10. Thailand will take on Russia on September 7.

The friendly tournament is expected to create a golden opportunity for Vietnamese players to hone in skills ahead of the ASEAN Mitsubishi Electric Cup 2024 set to take place from November 23 to December 21.
