VOV.VN - The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) confirmed on February 4 that the AFC Asian Cup 2027 will be held in Saudi Arabia from January 7 to February 5, 2027.
The tournament will be held across three cities, including Riyadh, Jeddah, and Al Khobar.
According to details given by the AFC, a total of five stadiums in Riyadh will host matches, including the King Fahd Sports City Stadium, the King Saud University Stadium, the Imam Mohammed Ibn Saud University Stadium, the Kingdom Arena, and the Al Shabab Stadium.
In Jeddah, two stadiums have been confirmed: King Abdullah Sports City Stadium and Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Sports City Stadium.
A state-of-the-art stadium will also be built in Al Khobar city, completing the world-class infrastructure and providing facilities for 24 of Asia's top national teams.
So far, a total of 18 teams have already sealed their places at the 2027 AFC Asian Cup in Saudi Arabia. The remaining berths will be decided via the Qualifiers Final Round, which is scheduled to commence from March with six groups. The six top-ranked teams of each group will make up the final cast.
Vietnam has been placed in Group F, alongside Malaysia, Nepal, and Laos. The teams will compete in a round-robin format to determine their rankings.
VOV.VN - Vietnam will take on Laos in an opening Group F match of the AFC Asian Cup 2027 qualifiers, third round, at Binh Duong stadium in the south on March 25, said the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF).
