VOV.VN - Vietnamese football player Le Dinh Long Vu has been listed among the top 60 best young talents born in 2006 in world football, according to a list recently unveiled by UK newspaper The Guardian.
Vu is the only Southeast Asian representative to feature in the list.
According to the newspaper, Vietnam are blessed with several players who are both technical and fast and who are equally comfortable playing the ball with either foot, but Le Dinh Long Vu has already excited fans with his potential.
“He impressed so much at Asia’s Under-17 Championship that he was called up to the country’s under-23 team. His pace, slight build, dribbling and ability to whip balls into the area has led some fans to compare him to Phil Foden,” reported The Guardian.
It also stressed that young Vietnamese talents don’t always progress as much as they should, but with the right coaching and by playing for the right club, Vu could go very far in the sport.
Born in the central province of Ha Tinh, Vu plays as a winger. The Vietnamese player is currently playing for Song Lam Nghe An FC and has already represented Vietnam’s U17 and U23 teams.
VOV.VN - The ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) has revealed a poster titled “Vietnam Stars of Their Times” which features several outstanding Vietnamese footballers from the past 20 years, including young stars such as Quang Hai and Hoang Duc.
VOV.VN -The Singaporean edition of Four Four Two magazine has named four Vietnamese players among the 25 Best Footballers in Southeast Asia, namely Anh Duc, Thanh Trung, Xuan Truong, and Van Quyet.
