Vietnam football team awarded over VND30 billion after ASEAN Cup win

At the awards ceremony held at the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) headquarters on January 8, Vietnam, as the champions of Southeast Asia, was presented a generous prize of VND32.5 billion.

Of the total amount, the team received US$300,000 (approximately VND7.6 billion) from the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF).

Additionally, coach Kim Sang Sik and his team were awarded a bonus of VND7.2 billion from the VFF, with LPBank contributing VND5 billion.

SHB Bank also rewarded the team with VND2 billion, while Agribank provided an additional VND2 billion and a reward of US$10,000 for striker Nguyen Xuan Son, the top scorer with seven goals in the competition.

Saigon Beer-Alcohol-Beverage Joint Stock Corporation (SABECO) presented the team with VND1 billion, and VND6 billion in additional rewards came from Viettel Group, PetroVietnam, and VPBank.

Moreover, the Vietnamese team also received a VND1.2 billion bonus from Dong Luc Sports Group, the sponsor of their uniforms. Sporting goods retailer KingSport offered players equipment such as treadmills, bicycles, massage chairs, and machines, worth a total of VND500 million.
