VOV.VN - Vietnam eased past Chinese Taipei 3-0 in their second match of the 2025 AVC Women’s Nations Cup in Hanoi on June 8, securing their lead in Group A.
The coaching staff seemed to be cautious going into the game as they only used familiar faces such as libero Khanh Dang and spikers Bich Tuyen and Thanh Thuy.
The Vietnamese team played at a high tempo, forcing the opposition into a passive position. Spikers Bich Tuyen and Thanh Thuy put in outstanding performances during the tie as they unleashed powerful attacks on their opponents.
Vietnam ultimately won the match against Chinese Taipei in straight sets, 25-17, 25-16, and 25-17. Earlier, on June 7, Vietnam beat Hong Kong (China) 3-0 in Group A’s first match.
The national team will now get two days’ rest before competing in the event’s third match with India on June 11. The AVC Women's Nations Cup 2025 began on June 7 and will run through to June 14 in the capital city.
A total of 11 nations are competing in this year's tournament. They have been divided into two groups in a round robin format. The champions will qualify for the 2026 Asian Women’s Volleyball Championship.
