VOV.VN - The fourth ASEAN Police Football Open Tournament will be held from July 5 to 15 at Hang Day Stadium in Hanoi and the PVF Youth Football Training Center in northern Hung Yen province, according to a press conference held on July 2 at the Ministry of Public Security.
The tournament is among a series of events marking the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Traditional Day and the 20th anniversary of the All People’s Security Safeguard Festival.
This year’s competition will feature eight teams, including two host teams (People’s Public Security I and II), five teams from other Southeast Asian nations, and one from Australia. The teams will be divided into two groups and compete in a round-robin format, with the top team claiming the championship title and a cash prize of US$30,000.
According to the organising committee, the tournament aims to enhance mutual understanding and solidarity among regional police forces and with Australia, while promoting cooperation in crime prevention and maintaining public order and safety.
