VOV.VN - The Vietnamese beach soccer team arrived in Thailand on March 14 for their final training camp ahead of the 2025 AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup, set to be held at Jomtien Beach Soccer Stadium in Pattaya from March 20 to 30.
According to the schedule, the team will play two friendly matches against China on March 15 and Saudi Arabia on March 16 in preparation for the tournament.
Following these games, coach Mai Van Duc will finalize the 12-player squad for the competition, which will see 16 teams divided into four groups.
Vietnam have been drawn into Group D alongside Oman, Bahrain, and Malaysia. This presents a tough challenge, as both Oman and Bahrain are among Asia’s strongest beach soccer teams, while Malaysia have twice reached the quarter-finals in previous editions.
The top three teams of the tournament will secure berths at the 2025 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.
