VOV.VN - Vietnamese shooters are targeting multiple medals at the 16th Asian Championship Rifle / Pistol / Shotgun which is scheduled to take place in Kazakhstan from August 16 to 30.
Among the prominent competitors is Trinh Thu Vinh who finished fourth at the women's 10-metre air pistol finale at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
At the 2025 Asian Championship, Vinh will compete in three divisions - the women's 10m air pistol, the women's 25m pistol, and the 10m air pistol mixed team. In its 2023 edition, she won a bronze medal in the women's 10m air pistol individual.
Another hopeful is Le Thi Mong Tuyen who previously participated in the women's 10m air rifle at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
This time, Tuyen will vie for medals in the women's 10m air rifle and the 10m air rifle mixed team.
Other Vietnamese shooters - Ha Minh Thanh, Lai Cong Minh, Nguyen Thuy Trang, Phi Thanh Thao - will also take part in the tournament.
The tournament will witness the participation of 750 shooters from 28 countries and territories worldwide.
