VOV.VN - Bamboo Airways has unveiled plans to operate a direct air route between Hanoi capital and Rach Gia city in the south from February 7, with flights departing once a day.
The new direct air service is anticipated to help reduce flight times from Hanoi to Rach Gia city in the southern Kien Giang province to just over two hours, as opposed to the previous eight hours through charter flights.
The new route will make use of the Embraer E195 aircraft. The airline offers incentives of an additional 10kilo of checked baggage for passengers departing between Feb. 1 and 8 during the initial launch of the route.
Bamboo Airways is scheduled to open the Ho Chi Minh City-Rach Gia route in early February, offering airfares starting from only VND299,000.
Passengers are able to purchase air tickets throughout Bamboo Airways’ sales channels, including the airline’s ticketing counters and official e-channels.
Bamboo Airways has just opened two new routes connecting the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho with two popular tourist destinations, Con Dao islands in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau and Phu Quoc islands in the southern province of Kien Giang, the airline’s representative said on January 12.
Bamboo Airways will launch new direct flights from Hanoi, Hai Phong and Vinh to Con Dao from September 29. Tickets on the routes go on sale from midnight on September 12.
