VOV.VN - US News & World Report has released its list of Asia’s 20 best places to visit in 2026, ranking Hanoi eighth.
Hanoi is well-suited for first-time Vietnam visitors, with tranquil lakes offsetting its fast-paced bustle and darting motorbikes. The country's capital offers plenty in the way of history, culture, shopping, dining and natural splendor, the website wrote.
The US media suggested travelers should start their day off with a Vietnamese egg coffee, then head to Hanoi's central Old Quarter for a stroll through the many narrow, colorful streets and a taste of mouthwatering street food.
After that, check out one of the city's many temples, including the ancient Temple of Literature, which dates back to the 11th century, or head to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, a must-visit for history buffs, it added.
Topping the list is Mount Fuji in Japan. Whether you visit in spring for cherry blossoms, summer for climbing, autumn for foliage or winter for skiing, Japan's highest peak and most iconic attraction is sure to capture tourists’ attention, the US News & World Report shared.
Other places to make the top ten include Tokyo in Japan, Palawan in the Philippines, Seoul in the Republic of Korea, Sri Lanka, Chiang Mai and Phuket in Thailand, Bhutan, and Bali in Indonesia.
VOV.VN - The capital city of Hanoi will play host to an ornamental plant, OCOP (One Commune One Product) and regional specialties festival at the Astronomy Park in Duong Noi Ward, Hanoi, from February 5 to 11.
