
VOV.VN - Le Jacques Cartier, a French luxury ship, docked at Phu Quoc Port at 7:00 a.m. on February 22, carrying 150 high-end tourists onboard.
The ship, which is mainly carrying French, American, and British nationals, is currently on a voyage having initially departed from Sihanoukville in Cambodia. Apart from Phu Quoc Island, the cruise will bring the high-end tourists to visit Con Dao Island and Ho Chi Minh City before returning to France.
By the end of the year there will be two more luxury cruise ships carrying French tourists to visit the island. They will have chance to discover Ham Ninh fishing village, Phu Quoc Prison, and Ho Quoc Pagoda.
Huynh Quang Hung, chairman of the People’s Committee of Phu Quoc City, said that the island is expected to welcome more tourists from other countries, including Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand.
