VOV.VN - The Republic of Korea (RoK) will extend the free processing of C-3-2 short-term group tourist visas for visitors from six countries, including Vietnam, Finance Minister Koo Yun-cheol announced on December 31.
Under the plan, the visa fee exemption, originally set to expire on December 31, 2025, will be extended until the end of June 2026, according to Seoul-based Yonhap News Agency.
Alongside visitors from Vietnam, those from five other countries - China, India, the Philippines, Indonesia and Cambodia, will also enjoy this policy.
Minister Koo said the policy aims to maintain the momentum of tourism growth, as the RoK seeks to attract more international visitors amid intensifying regional competition.
Currently, the processing fee for a C-3-2 group tourist visa stands at KRW18,000 (approximately US$12.46). The fee waiver is expected to encourage travel agencies and further increase visitor numbers from key source markets, with Vietnam recognised as one of the RoK’s fastest-growing tourism markets.
VOV.VN - The Republic of Korea’s Ministry of Justice has decided to extend its pilot visa scheme for tourists in group for another two years for citizens from Vietnam, the Philippines and Indonesia.
