VOV.VN - Uzbekistan Airways will open a new international air route from Tashkent, the capital city of Uzbekistan, to Cam Ranh city in the southern central province of Khanh Hoa, a representative of Cam Ranh International Airport said on April 23.
The route will be put into operation on May 5 with two flights running per week.
The first flight will carry onboard a total of 190 passengers who will be able to visit and explore the province.
This marks the third Uzbeki airline to operate flights on the Tashkent- Cam Ranh route. This comes after Qanot Sharq and Air Samarkand also brought travelers from Uzbekistan to the locality on charter flights. Aside from Uzbekistan, Cam Ranh airport also welcomes nine flights from Kazakhstan every week.
The flight operations of these Central Asian airlines shows the tourism potential of Khanh Hoa province, particularly to tourists from this region.
