"Visit Vietnam” platform supports unified tourism management using real-time data

VOV.VN - Vietnam’s national tourism data platform, “Visit Vietnam,” is set to be officially launched on December 20, 2025, in Phu Quoc, southern An Giang province, marking the start of a unified, data-driven approach to tourism management long anticipated by the sector.

The platform is sponsored by the Government and developed in collaboration with the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism (VNAT) and the National Data Association (NDA), with Sun Group responsible for its development and operation.

“Visit Vietnam” enables real-time collection and analysis of tourism data, allowing tourists, businesses and authorities to monitor market developments by the day and by the hour, from destination crowd levels and ongoing activities to emerging consumption trends. This is the first time Vietnam’s tourism sector has operated such a centralized data system.

At the launch event, the platform’s developer will present its structure, future expansion plans and a live demo, enabling guests to directly experience how data are displayed and analyzed, rather than viewing promotional videos alone.

The event will also feature the participation of domestic and international data and payment partners, including Visa and National Citizen Bank (NCB), thereby underscoring the platform’s ambition to build a multi-source data ecosystem that more comprehensively reflects visitor flows, market interest and spending capacity.

The launch of “Visit Vietnam” is seen as an initial step toward data-based tourism governance and promotion, as international arrivals to Vietnam continue to rise and the need to optimize operations at destinations becomes increasingly pressing.
