Major energy and food processing expos kick off in Ho Chi Minh City

VOV.VN - A series of international exhibitions focusing on energy conservation, electrical equipment, and agricultural and food processing, packaging, and preservation launched on July 15, at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City.

The joint event, running until July 17, comprises several specialized expos: the 19th International Exhibition on Electrical Technology and Equipment (Vietnam ETE 2026), the Energy Saving and Green Power Products Exhibition (Greenergy Expo 2026), the Electric Energy Conference and Show (ELECS Vietnam 2026), and the Vietnam International Agricultural and Food Processing, Packaging and Preservation Exhibition (Vietnam PFA 2026).

The event is jointly organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade, C.I.S Vietnam, and the Ho Chi Minh City Electro-Mechanical Association.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Nguyen Thi Lam Giang, Director General of the Agency for Innovation, Green Transition, and Industrial Promotion under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, pointed out that the exhibitions create opportunities for businesses to step up trade promotion, transfer technology, attract investment, and expand operations, thereby spurring the development of Vietnam's energy and power sectors.

Spanning nearly 20,000 square meters, the exhibitions feature more than 800 booths set up by nearly 650 enterprises from Vietnam and various countries, including China, the Republic of Korea (RoK), Germany, Austria, Russia, Japan, India, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand.

Prominent global and domestic brands in attendance include Gelex, Toshiba, ABB, KEPCO, LS Electric, Hyundai, and Shihlin. Notably, the Korea Electrical Manufacturers Association (KOEMA) continues its partnership by hosting the ELECS Vietnam pavilion, alongside a substantial delegation of Chinese enterprises showcasing new technologies and solutions.

The three-day event also hosts B2B matchmaking sessions connecting Vietnamese and international enterprises, alongside specialized seminars on energy storage, smart power management, grid modernization, and the energy transition.  Organizers expect the event to draw around 20,000 visitors, thereby solidifying its position as a highly reputable annual forum for Vietnam's electrical and energy industries.
