Party General Secretary and State President To Lam has sent a message of condolences to Timor-Leste President José Ramos-Horta over the passing of Francisco Guterres “Lu Olo”, former President and President of the Revolutionary Front for an Independent Timor-Leste (FRETILIN).
Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung also extended condolences to Timor-Leste Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Bendito dos Santos Freitas and FRETILIN Secretary-General Marí bin Amude Alkatiri.
Vietnam always attaches importance to and seeks to strengthen its multifaceted friendship and cooperation with Timor-Leste, and supports the country’s deeper integration into ASEAN and the international community.
Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Politburo member, Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee and Chairman of the CPV Central Committee’s Commission for Policies and Strategies, received a delegation of Timor-Leste’s National Congress for Timorese Reconstruction (CNRT) in Hanoi on June 9.
