
VOV.VN - The government of Japan has decided to present Japan’s Order of the Rising Sun to Hoang Binh Quan, former head of the Party Central Committee’s External Relations Commission.
The honour is in recognition of the Vietnamese official’s great contributions to strengthening the long-standing friendship and close bond between Japan and Vietnam in recent times, the government said in its decision released on April 29.
Quan is among foreign figures who were awarded the Order of the Rising Sun in Spring 2024.
Born on June 16, 1959, Quan were elected to the Party Central Committee (tenures IX, X, XI, XII) and the National Assembly (tenures IX, XI, XIII).
Between July 2009 and March 2021, he was appointed head of the External Relations Commission of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

The Japanese Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City on May 10 announced the Japanese Government’s decision to bestow the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon upon Vietnamese Professor Vo Tong Xuan.
VOV.VN - Former Chairwoman of the National Assembly (NA) Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan was conferred with the Order of the Rising Sun, first-class Grand Cross, of the Japanese Government at a ceremony held on January 24 in Hanoi.
