VOV.VN - Nine workers of Dung Quat Shipyard at Dung Quat Economic Zone in Quang Ngai province, central Vietnam, were burned following a gas blast on November 3.
When the explosion occurred at around 2pm, the workers were welding at rhe bottom compartment of Legend ship.
The fire broke out so fiercely and quickly that some workers in the void tank could not manage to escape in time.
Nine injured workers were immediately transferred to the Central Hospital in Quang Nam province. Among them, three were suffering severe burns.
Experienced doctors were deployed to give intensive treatment to the injured.
The management of the Dung Quat Economic Zone asked the shipyard to make a detailed report on the incident.
