VOV.VN - The Vietnamese national futsal team will play several fixtures as part of a friendly tournament in Spain from August 28 to August 31 in preparation for the 2021 FIFA Futsal World Cup.
The schedule will see the national futsal team gather for a training camp on August 2 with the participation of 22 players. The squad will fly out to Spain on August 25 to compete in an international futsal tournament involving four sides as a warm up to the upcoming Futsal World Cup.
The Vietnamese team will have the chance to compete against the likes of Japan, Guatemala, and hosts Spain.
Following the tournament, the national futsal team are then expected to play a game against leading Spanish side Cordoba on September 3.
Before departing for Lithuania for the Futsal World Cup which will run from September 12 to October 3, the team will play another friendly against the Moroccan team on September 6.
At the Futsal World Cup, Vietnam have been drawn in Group D alongside Brazil, the Czech Republic, and Panama.
The team are scheduled to play their first game against Brazil on September 13, followed by Panama on September 16, and the Czech Republic on September 19.
