VOV.VN - Turkish volleyball team Kuzeyboru announced on November 13 that it has ended its contract with Vietnamese star and national captain Tran Thi Thanh Thuy after several months.
On its official website the Turkish club said goodbye to Thuy, adding that she had left beautiful memories in the hearts of both her former teammates and fans.
During her stay at the Turkish club, Thuy only played two matches in the Turkish national championship and CEV Cup - European Volleyball Cup C2.
The Vietnamese star is scheduled to return to the nation in a couple of days and will seek the chance to play for other foreign clubs in either Asia or Southeast Asia.
Born in 1997 in the southern province of Binh Duong, Thuy started her career at Vietnamese club Binh Dien Long An. Standing at a height of 1.93 metres, Thuy is currently the best outside hitter in Vietnamese volleyball.
Most notably, she is the volleyballer who has played for the most foreign teams in history, going abroad several times to play for Bangkok Glass VC in Thailand, Attack Line in Taiwan (China), as well as Japanese teams Denso Airybees and BlueCats.
